Mario H. Sandoval
Youth Pastor

Education and Experience:
BA in Communications 1981;
MA in Community Agency Counseling, 1985.
Graduate of the Episcopal Youth Ministry Internship Program, 1990.
I have been the full time Youth Pastor at All Saints', Dale City, since 1993. Before that I was Youth Minister at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Lakeland, Florida for five years. Additionally, I was coordinator of the youth program known as "Happening" in the Diocese of Central Florida; a social worker with the Florida Sheriff's Youth Camp; a Young Life Leader in Lakeland, Florida; and the Youth Minister for the Church of the New Covenant in Winter Springs, Florida from 1980-1985.

Ministry Purpose and Vision:
Youth ministry at All Saints' takes seriously the words of Scripture found in 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 which say:

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."

The youth group at All Saints' focuses on how to live out God's call to be ambassadors for Christ and ministers of reconciliation. Each component of the program has been developed as part of that overall vision. To learn more about all the opportunities in Youth Ministry at All Saints', follow this link to the Newcomer's Guide, "Opportunities for Youth".

Kerry H. Walters
Parish Executive

Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science: Business Administration, The Citadel, 1986;
Magna cum laude; Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award
Master of Business Administration, Florida Institute of Technology, 1996

Called by the Clergy and Vestry as Parish Executive of All Saints' Church, January 2008 to present.  Prior business experience includes President and CEO of Digital Access Corporation, Executive Vice President of The Rigel Corporation, and Vice President/Director of American Systems Corp.

Kerry and his family (wife Susan and son Andrew) have attended All Saints' since March of 2000.  Their various ministry activities at All Saints' include: Vestry, Treasurer, Building and Grounds Chairman, Homeless Ministries, Alpha, Foundations Bible Study, teaching Sunday School, Transportation, Purpose Driven Life, small groups, SOMA mission to Uganda and more.

Ministry Purpose and Vision:
The Parish Executive position is established to glorify God by providing an executive level of long-term planning and management oversight of daily operations for the church staff in order to efficiently and effectively accomplish the goals and objectives set forth by the Clergy and Vestry of All Saints' Church.

The primary areas of responsibility for the Parish Executive are:

  • Long-term planning of the church staff and operations necessary to facilitate the growth of All Saints' Church.
  • Daily management and supervision of church staff as assigned by the Clergy and Vestry to include the administrative assistant, bookkeeper, custodian, information technology administrator, and publications positions.
  • Provide consultation to Clergy and ministry leaders in the areas of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting as may be required to achieve their ministerial goals.
  • Work closely with Clergy and church staff to maximize use of volunteers to accomplish the established goals and plans of All Saints' Church.
  • Develop, edit, and/or maintain policies, plans and procedures as necessary for efficient and effective church administration.
  • Cleaning, maintenance and repair of the church building and grounds.
  • Quality control and financial management of the new church construction on Gideon Drive.
  • Supporting special events and/or other tasks as required by the Clergy and Vestry from time to time.
  • Safe, healthy, and joyful place of worship for the parishioners and guests of All Saints' Church and to provide a comfortable and productive workplace for the clergy and church staff.

The scripture which best describes the Parish Executive position is Acts 6:1-7.

In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Grecian Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word."
This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.
So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

Lindsey Feldman
Children's Ministry Director

Education and Experience
Bachelor of Social Work, 1979
MA in Counseling, 1982

For 25 years, I have enjoyed a rewarding part-time career as a family counselor with the juvenile court and more recently as a parent educator with Virginia Cooperative Extension.  I have treasured the opportunities to serve in a volunteer capacity as a Sunday school teacher, nursery coordinator, room parent, PTA president, and leader of several Moms in Touch prayer groups.  Now, I count it a tremendous privilege and responsibility to have been called to serve as Children’s Ministry Director at the church I love.  Children are a gift from the Lord and I am passionate about praying for, equipping, and celebrating children and their families; it is truly how God designed my heart.   As you explore this website and our church, please feel free to contact me at lfeldman@allsaintsdalecity.org with any questions you may have.

Ministry Purpose and Vision
Children’s Ministries at All Saints serves infants, toddlers, and children through grade 5.  We seek to partner with parents and support the family in training up children to love and serve the Lord.   Children are welcomed, valued, and cared for while they learn whom Jesus is, how to follow Him, and how the truths of the Bible can help them to make Godly choices right now and throughout their lives.  Our desire is for our children to grow in their relationship with Jesus, to know and love God’s word, to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and to become committed to using their spiritual gifts.

Desiree Barker
Adult Discipleship Director

Background and Experience:
Before I joined the staff at All Saints' in 1997, my career background included experience in various types of management and project management, chiefly in the field of office space planning and design. The unique requirements of design project management served as excellent training ground for the wonderful and varied types of ministry opportunities I find myself involved with now.

I have an ongoing commitment to continuing my own education and training. This training has included Precept Ministries leader training, several years of Bible study leadership training and various conferences including Alpha Leadership Training Conferences in 1996 and 2000.

I have been leading and teaching Bible studies for almost 15 years including, since 1992, All Saints' own "Foundations for Ministry" course. I served on the All Saints' Church vestry from 1994- 1997. Other experience includes All Saints' Adult Education Committee from 1992 until the present and the Diocese of Virginia Evangelism Committee, 1997-1999.

Ministry Purpose and Vision:
All Saints Church is a place where people are encouraged to grow in their faith and in their service in the church and in the community. As the administrator for Adult Education and Alpha, I have the privilege of helping in that process. The ministries I am involved in provide the opportunities for adults to explore the Christain faith, to learn and grow in that faith and to learn and practice giving it away in service to others.

Alpha is an eleven week course best defined as a practical introduction to the Christian faith. As Alpha Administrator, I recruit and coordinate the work of the dozens of volunteers who help make this ministry a positive experience for our friends and neighbors. I oversee the training of the small group leadership and of the volunteers for each Alpha course. These leaders and volunteers provide care and support for our guests throughout the course. I am also the parish contact with other Alpha courses in our area and around the world. There are many ways to serve in the Alpha Ministry and I am always looking for people who have a few hours to serve.

Along with the clergy and a team of dedicated volunteers who serve with me on the Adult Education Committee, I plan the Adult Education Ministry offerings. Our vision is to raise up people who are growing in Christ and willing to help others do the same. We have developed a program that offers many different ways and times for members of our church to experience Bible study at all levels, as well as many other courses designed to equip and prepare them for ministry and service. We are dedicated to finding ways to meet the educational needs of a growing congregation.

Please call or e-mail me with any questions or comments you many have about either Alpha or Adult Education. I can be reached at 703-670-0093, ext. 8, or at dbarker@allsaintsdalecity.org.

Ministry Purpose and Vision:
The purpose of this ministry is to welcome and integrate newcomers into the church family. Greeting visitors, distributing welcome packets, and follow up phone calls to newcomers are all a part of this process. There is a quarterly informational luncheon for all newcomers to learn about the many ministry opportunities in the church, and for ministry leaders to get acquainted with newcomers.

I will also be working with parishioners to help them discover where they are called to serve in ministry, and with ministry leaders to determine their needs.

We all have a place within the body of Christ, finding the right fit and place of belonging can only bring glory to God.

“God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings.”   1 Peter 4:10 LB
